FAQs

All meals are prepared fresh the day before or the day of delivery. All you have to do is refrigerate the meals and reheat them in the microwave whenever you're ready to eat. We recommend reheating for 1-2 minutes according to your preference. If you choose to freeze your meals the best option for reheating is to empty the contents of your meal container into an oven-safe baking tray and reheat in an oven (or microwave oven).
We recommend that you refrigerate your meals and snacks as soon as you receive them and keep your fridge temperature between 1-3 degrees celsius. The meals should last you 4-5 days in the refrigerator. If you do not intend to eat the meals within the first 4-5 days of delivery we recommend freezing them.
Our meals come in biodegradable packaging and can be heated in the microwave for 1-2 minutes on high. If you choose to freeze the meals the best option for reheating is to empty the contents of your meal container into an oven-safe baking tray and reheat in an oven, microwave oven or pan on the stove and cook for 4-5 minutes after thawing.
Most of our meals are keto-friendly with the exception of our soups, sandwiches, and wraps. Simply select the keto option as a dietary preference on your profile and the menu will filter only the keto options for selection. Our chefs replace the carb side shown in the meal with an additional serving of vegetables from our menu. The keto-friendly meals do not contain carbs or sugars as part of the sauces, marinades or glazes.
You can find the calorie count and the amount of protein, carbs, and fat for each meal by clicking View This Week's Menu on the homepage, and then by clicking on any of the individual meals. The nutrition facts are also labelled onto each container and adjusted for protein plus, low carb, and senior meal variations.

Our chicken, beef, and turkey is sourced from (HMA Certified) Sargent Farms and other local halal butcher shops in the Vaughan area.
Ordering
There is no minimum order or weekly commitment; you can choose all of your meals a la carte or you can select a meal package for a one-time order.
You can select as few or as many meals as you like. If you're looking for less than 5 meals each week you can select from our a-la-carte page. For something a bit more economical you can select a Meal Pack with 5, 7 or 10 meals for delivery on either Sunday or Wednesday. The most economical option is our Weekly Subscription with a further discount built into the pricing. The Weekly Subscription option provides more meal package customizations allowing you to select multiple delivery dates with different menus, different variations of meals, and customizable options for package size.
Yes, the ordering deadline is Fridays at noon for orders delivered on Sundays and Sunday at noon for orders delivered on Wednesdays.
You can cancel your entire order or Sunday’s delivery anytime before Friday at noon for a full refund. To cancel Wednesday’s delivery only we require notification before Monday at noon for a partial refund. Our chefs order the ingredients for your meal and begin preparations one business day in advance of your delivery. We understand that things come up!

Weekly Subscriptions

Yes, weekly subscribers receive an additional 7.5% off their meal plans week over week!

Billing

The weekly subscription saves you the time and hassle of re-ordering each week. Simply choose your package and MealFix Canada will bill your credit card once per week for your meals (no surprise charges!). Your meals will then be delivered to you on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Yes, you can choose the day of the week that is most convenient to you for billing.

Each Wednesday morning you will receive an email from [email protected] allowing you to select your meals for the week. If you forget to select your meals, MealFix will default to your previous order selections. Our emails sometimes go to junk or the promotions tab in gmail so please be sure to search your inbox for emails from [email protected] and mark our emails as 'safe'.

If you forget to select your meals we will send you 1-2 of each meal (with the exception of any meals that contain allergens specific to your plan).

Email us at [email protected] to cancel your subscription at any time before Friday at noon. Want to temporarily pause your subscription? Let us know and we will help you with that!
Need 7 meals one week and 14 meals the next? MealFix is flexible and allows clients to change plans at any time by simply selecting a different package on meal selection day! We will then adjust/refund your plan and pricing accordingly.

MealFix delivers twice a week across Southern Ontario:

  • Toronto & the GTA: Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Pickering, Ajax, Stouffville, King City, Newmarket, Aurora, Bolton
  • West: Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Elmira, Fergus, Orangeville, Shelburne, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills
  • East: Oshawa, Bowmanville, Cobourg, Port Hope
  • South: Hamilton, Brantford, Paris, Welland, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Port Colborne
  • North: Barrie, Alliston, Innisfil
  • New: London, ON - Wednesdays only
$5 per delivery within Toronto and the GTA. Outside the GTA, delivery cost is calculated at checkout based on distance.

Sunday deliveries: 9:30am – 5:30pm

Wednesday deliveries: 1:00pm – 7:00pm

You'll get a text or email on the morning of your delivery with an estimated arrival time. ETAs are approximate and may be affected by weather or traffic.

We'll leave your insulated bag at the door or with your concierge. Our bags stay cold for 4-5 hours (3-4 hours in warmer weather). Refrigerate your meals as soon as possible. If you live in a condo or apartment, include your buzzer number at checkout so the courier can reach you.
Leave it outside your door on your next delivery day and we'll collect it, sanitize it, and reuse it. Not reordering? Email us to schedule a pickup. Returning bags helps MealFix keep delivery costs low for everyone.
We've switched to biodegradable packaging. The brown container base is compostable. The clear plastic lid is recyclable. We're actively transitioning away from plastics across our entire operation.
Yes, list a different address for Sunday and Wednesday deliveries. Include the second address in the Special Instructions section at checkout, or email us with your order number.
