Some people love a dependable weekly routine. Others look at next Tuesday and have no idea where dinner will happen. Neither approach is wrong—which is why choosing between a meal subscription and one-time ordering should start with your schedule. At MealFix, we offer both options. Here is how they differ and how to decide which one belongs in your week!
What Is a Weekly Meal Subscription?
A weekly meal subscription provides recurring deliveries based on the plan you select. It is useful when the same gaps recur every week: lunches on office days, dinners after work, or food for a parent who needs regular support.
A weekly meal subscription may suit you if you depend on prepared meals most weeks, want fewer recurring decisions or coordinate food for another household member. It can also help when ambitious grocery purchases regularly become next week’s compost.
The Benefits of Weekly Meal Delivery
At MealFix, our subscribers choose meals from the current menu. If you miss the selection window, we can repeat your previous order to help prevent an empty refrigerator from becoming Friday night’s surprise.
Plans can be paused, skipped, or adjusted when travel or schedule changes disrupt the routine.
MealFix subscriptions include portion choices such as Regular, Senior Size and Protein Plus, with low-carb and extra-carb combinations available. You can select Sunday, Wednesday, or split delivery between the two days.
As well, subscribers currently save 7.5% on each order and may receive additional offers. The greatest value, however, may be predictability: meals are handled before a busy week begins negotiating with you.
What Is One-Time Meal Ordering?
One-time ordering provides fresh, fully cooked meals without an ongoing commitment. At MealFix, you can select a meal package or order individual dishes à la carte.
Our packages come in different quantities and formats, including vegetarian, Senior Size and Protein Plus choices. À la carte ordering lets you select individual meals, making it useful when you need a few lunches, want breakfast or would like to sample our menu before choosing a recurring plan.
Once the order is delivered, nothing automatically continues. When you want more meals, you place another order!
When Is a One-Time Order Better?
One-time ordering may fit better when your schedule changes frequently, you cook most meals, or you only need support during busy periods. It also works well before a demanding workweek, after a trip, during a move, or whenever grocery shopping deserves a firm “not today.”
A trial order can help you learn which portions and flavours you prefer. If you start ordering regularly, switching to a subscription may make the habit easier!
Can You Access the Same Meal Choices?
Both methods provide access to our rotating selection of chef-prepared meals. Depending on the week, our menu may include vegetarian, gluten-free, keto, low-carb and high-protein choices. Ingredients, allergens and available nutrition information are provided for individual dishes.
Some examples from our broader menu include Buffalo Chicken Wings, which can be ordered in Protein Plus, low-carb and extra-carb portions; Greek Grilled Chicken Breast with Lemon Potatoes for a gluten-free option; and a Shawarma Chickpea Bowl for vegetarian customers!
Because selections change, review the current menu before ordering and contact our team about serious allergies or medical dietary requirements!
Choose The Option That Fits Your Week
So, should you choose a weekly subscription or rely on one-time orders? The difference comes down to frequency: subscriptions support a dependable weekly routine, while one-time orders provide help when you request it.
