Are your meals fresh or frozen?

All meals are prepared fresh the day before or the day of delivery. All you have to do is refrigerate the meals and reheat them in the microwave whenever you're ready to eat. We recommend reheating for 1-2 minutes according to your preference. If you choose to freeze your meals the best option for reheating is to empty the contents of your meal container into an oven-safe baking tray and reheat in an oven (or microwave oven).

HOW LONG WILL THE FOOD LAST?

We recommend that you refrigerate your meals and snacks as soon as you receive them and keep your fridge temperature between 1-3 degrees celsuis. The meals should last you 4-5 days in the refrigerator. If you do not intend to eat the meals within the first 3 days of delivery we recommend freezing them.

how do i reheat the meals? 

Our meals come in biodegradable packaging and can be heated in the microwave for 1-2 minutes on high. If you choose to freeze the meals the best option for reheating is to empty the contents of your meal container into an oven-safe baking tray and reheat in an oven, microwave oven or pan on the stove and cooking for 5-8 minutes after thawing.

how do i order keto meals?

You can find our keto-friendly meals under the keto-friendly tab on our menu page. Our chefs replace the carb side shown in the meal with an additional serving of vegetables from our menu. The keto-friendly meals do not contain carbs or sugars as part of the sauces, marinades or glazes.

where can i find the nutritional information for your meals?

You can find the calorie count and the amount of protein, carbs, and fat for each meal by clicking View This Week's Menu on the homepage, and then by clicking on any of the individual meals.

DO you have allergen information for each meal?

Yes, you can find the allergen information for each meal by clicking View This Week's Menu on the homepage, and then by clicking on any of the individual meals.

Where do you source your meats from?

Our chicken and beef is sourced from (HMA Certified) Sargent Farms and King Meat Shop, while our ground turkey comes from Fortinos and other local butcher shops in the GTA.

Ordering

IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER OR WEEKLY COMMITMENT?

There is no minimum order or weekly commitment; you can choose all of your meals and snacks a la carte.

How do I order?

You can select as few or as many meals as you like. If you're looking for meals for the week you can select the WeekFix(7 meal), FitFix (10 meal) or XtremeFix (14 meal) package. Simply add to cart, select your meals for the week, and use any promotional codes on check out.

IS THERE AN ORDER DEADLINE?

Yes, the ordering deadline is Fridays at noon for orders delivered on Sundays and Sunday at noon for orders delivered on Wednesdays.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY ORDER?

You can cancel your entire order or Sunday’s delivery anytime before Friday at noon for a full refund. To cancel Wednesday’s delivery only we require notification before Monday at noon for a partial refund. Our chefs order the ingredients for your meal and begin preparations one business day in advance of your delivery. We understand that things come up!

Weekly Subscriptions

 

DO I GET A DISCOUNT IF I USE THE WEEKLY SUBSCRIPTION?

Yes, weekly subscribers receive an additional 7.5% off their meal plans week over week! Weekly subscribers also get access to discounts through our loyalty program. 

BILLING

The weekly subscription saves you the time and hassle of re-ordering each week. Simply choose your package and MealFix Canada will bill your credit card once per week for your meals plus shipping (no surprise charges!). Your meals will then be delivered to you on Sundays and Wednesdays. 

Can i choose which day i am billed on?

Yes, you can choose the day of the week that is most convenient to you for billing.

can i select my meals?

Each Wednesday morning you will receive an email from info@mealfixcanada.com allowing you to select your meals for the week. If you forget to select your meals, MealFix will default to your previous order selections. Our emails sometimes go to junk or the promotions tab in gmail so please be sure to search your inbox for emails from info@mealfixcanada.com and mark our emails as 'safe'.

If you forget to select your meals we will send you 1-2 of each meal (with the exception of any meals that contain allergens specific to your plan).

WHAT IF I WANT TO PAUSE OR CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?

Email us at info@mealfixcanada.com to cancel your subscription at any time before Friday at noon. Want to temporarily pause your subscription? Let us know and we will help you with that!

Can I Change My plan if i need more meals or less?

Need 7 meals one week and 14 meals the next? MealFix is flexible and allows clients to change plans at any time by simply selecting a different package on meal selection day! We will then adjust/refund your plan and pricing accordingly.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR PLAN

Looking for something specific due to your diet preferences or allergies? Need 20+ meals for your family? Need to change the number of meals required each week due to work or social obligations?

We can customize your plan whether you prefer no-carb options, need an odd number of meals (like say... 17 meals each week?), or require delivery only 1 day of the week. Email us at info@mealfixcanada.com with requests you might have to see if we can accommodate you :)

Deliveries

where do you deliver?

MealFix delivers to Toronto and the GTA (Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham), as far east as Port Hope, as far south as Niagara-on-the-Lake / Port Colbourne area, as far west as Kitchener, and as far north as Fergus, Orangeville, and Barrie! Please see our map below for all of our coverage areas.

How much does delivery cost?

MealFix charges a flat fee per delivery day of $7.50 within Toronto and the GTA, and $8.50 outside of the GTA.

When do deliveries arrive?

MealFix uses a 2 day delivery system, with Sunday deliveries between 9:30am-5:30pm and Wednesday deliveries between 1pm and 7pm so that you're ready to take on the week!

If you live in an apartment or condo please remember to include your phone number and buzzer so that our couriers can let you know when your delivery arrives. Please also make sure that your concierge accepts food deliveries and notifies you on arrival.

Sunday & Wednesday Delivery Timings

You will receive a text message notification from our delivery partner, Starling Delivery (previously known as BLSH Delivery) on the morning of your delivery with a 3 hour delivery window.

This schedule is an approximation and does not take into consideration weather conditions and traffic due to unexpected accidents, road closures, or city events. Please bear with us if your order is not delivered within this delivery window as we are trying to get your order to you as quickly as possible!

If you do not receive your order within an hour of the delivery windows listed please send us an email at info@mealfixcanada.com so that we can track your order. 

what if i'm not home when my delivery arrives?

MealFix drops off your deliveries to your door. If you are not home we can leave the cooler bag on your doorstep or with your concierge. Please ensure that your concierge accepts food. If you live in a condo or apartment building that does not have a concierge please try to be home during the delivery window.

Our insulated bags will stay cold for up to 4-5 hours so please be sure to refrigerate your meals as soon as you receive them. Please note that this range will also depend on the external temperature (if it is warmer than usual bags will stay cold for 3-4 hours, if it is below 0 degrees the meals are fine to be left outdoors for a longer period).

What if i am missing items in my delivery or have received the incorrect items?

MealFix requires you to notify us of any issues with your delivery either the same day or within 1 business day of receiving your meals so that we can rectify any issues as soon as possible. For incorrect items MealFix requires you to email us at info@mealfixcanada.com with a picture of the items received.

Can mealfix deliver to my workplace?

Yes we can, just be sure to include your workplace address as the shipping address, select the call on arrival delivery option, and include clear instructions for parking and entering your workplace. Please ensure that your workplace is open during the specified delivery windows.

do i need to tip the delivery person?

No, you don't need to tip your delivery person, tips are not expected.

what do i do with the empty cooler bag?

Cooler bags and ice packs will be picked up on the next delivery, sanitized and reused to package meals. Simply leave the cooler bag outside your door or with your concierge on Sunday. If you do not plan to reorder with MealFix we can schedule a pick-up. Returning cooler bags helps MealFix keep costs low for our customers!

WHAT DO i DO WITH EMPTY CONTAINERS?

MealFix has recently switched to biodegradable packaging and we’re transitioning away from plastics where we can! The brown container base can be composted while the clear plastic lid can be recycled.

Can I include two different addresses for delivery? 

Yes, a different address can be listed for the Sunday and Wednesday drop off. You can either include the second address in the 'Special Instructions' section on checkout or email us with your order number and request. Please note the delivery windows if the addresses are in two different cities.

what if i need to make changes to my delivery address or instructions?

MealFix requires changes to delivery addresses or instructions to be made at least 1 business day in advance.
